Because We Have Been Blessed...

Perhaps if you've read other parts of my blog, you may be aware of a very special event in August that our family got to be a part of.  It is such a simple concept, but the effects are so big.  How totally amazing to see so many people come together, to 'love thy neighbor.'  If you're not sure what the special even was, check out my post here:  http://katie-heartstrings.blogspot.com/2012/08/pennies-nickels-and-dimes-and-oh-my.html 

And so... because we have been so blessed... we need to, we want to -- pay it forward.  We are planning a Change for a CHANGE event out of our home to try to bless 5 special causes.  We have chosen 2 causes so far!

I am very excited to open our home and have people come for fun and fellowship.  I'm a bit nervous because we don't know how it'll go, and we really really want this to be successful.  We are praying that people will be touched by the life stories of each cause and be moved to support in any way.  We also pray that when people come into our home they might feel the Spirit at work... forming new relationships, and opening hearts to new things.  All under His guiding hands!!

For our awesome friends and family  -- if you feel so lead to join us on November 30th for our Open House event (5-9 pm) -- we would LOVE to have you.  We'd love to have your kids, your friends, your neighbors, whomever!  And for our not-so-near friends and family -- if you too feel so lead -- our mailbox runs on "Open" 6 days/week.  We'd be so happy to share any gifts that may come our way via USPS.... just email me for our address if you need it. :)

My heart has that fun pitter-patter! My mind is racing! My eyes are looking upward for guidance... my hands are together in prayer.
